Tru-Tone

Tru-Tone vintage-style LED Christmas lights
Every December somebody stands in front of a tree and says the lights look wrong. Too blue, too bright, too much like a parking lot. They are remembering the big warm bulbs from the tree they grew up with.
Tru-Tone makes those again. The shape is the old C7 and C9 bulb, the glow is an ultra-warm LED filament built to look like the incandescent originals, and they run cool and use a fraction of the power. We keep them in the gift shop, past the espresso bar at 321 E Main St, so you can see the colour with your own eyes before they go on the tree.
The sets we carry

C7 Classicolor. The opaque, ceramic-look bulbs in the classic mix. The ones from the old photos.
C7 Jeweltone. The same bulb in transparent coloured glass, so the filament shows through.
C7 Jeweltone Dura-Bulbs. Jeweltone colour in a shatter-resistant bulb, for the porch, the kids and the cat.
C9 Classicolor and C9 Jeweltone. The bigger bulb, for the roofline, the railing and the tree that can take it.
Jeweltone Mini Lites. A hundred small lights on one string, with the same warm colour as the big bulbs. For the tree, the mantel and the window.

How to pick
C7 for a tree indoors. C9 for outside and for a tall tree. Classicolor if you want the look of the old photographs; Jeweltone if you want to see the glow inside the bulb. Mini Lites when the tree needs a lot of light and the big bulbs need something to sit among.
